Starting July 20th, U-M will begin to replace MTokens with Duo 2-step verification. Duo Mobile uses both your password and your phone to ensure your data is safe. Anyone with a current MToken will start receiving email from ITS beginning June 1 with directions on how to get a Duo token.
It's easier than you think for someone to steal your password.
Any of these common actions could put you at risk of having your password stolen:
Using the same password on more than one site
Downloading software from the Internet
Clicking on links in email messages
2-step verification can stop data and identity theft, even if a perpetrator has your password.
Imagine losing access to your account and everything in it!
When a perpetrator steals your password, they could lock you out of your account, and then do any of the following:
Access – or delete – all of your emails, contacts, documents etc.
Pretend to be you and send harmful or damaging emails
Use your Wolverine Access account to view your paychecks, banking account, routing numbers, W2 forms, benefits and personal information!
Use your password to conduct fraudulent transactions
Open the doors to identity theft and more!!
It's easier than you think to install and use Duo.
Be proactive! Don’t put your personal or U-M data at risk. Learn more about making your accounts stronger with Duo Mobile 2-step verification. It’s easy.
