This article describes how to create a Box Upload Widget that you can embed into articles or webforms. End-users can then upload files directly to a Box Folder you have created.
- As shown in Image Figure 1, you will need to create a folder within your Box account. Click on the dropdown menu (shown in green). Then scroll to Upload Options and choose Embed Upload Widget.
- Image Figure 2 - You will then be shown a pop-up box that gives you options regarding size (default is fine), Title, Instructions, an option to allow the end-user to leave a description, and to require an email address for the upload (recommened). Copy the code from the box (shown in green) by clicking Copy to Clipboard.
- Image Figure 3 - In the body of your article or in a markup area of a webform, choose and click Source (shown in green, upper left corner). Paste the code that you had previously copied to the clipboard within the article or webform.
- Image Figure 4 - This is an example Test Upload Widget that will display in your artcle or webform.
Files uploaded to this widget will be sent directly to the Box Folder you created. More than one file can be uploaded from this widget (one after another) and there are no file-type or size restrictions, so be clear in instructing users what you require.
